London Men’s Fashion Week 2016

London Men’s Fashion Week also known as London Collections: Men kicked off this past Friday and brought out some of the best designers in the fashion industry once again.

Now in its fourth year, London Men’s Fashion Week has become a platform for showcasing emerging talent and well-known British brands. Burberry, Alexander McQueen, and Moschino were just a few of the 61 other designers who participated in the male version of London Fashion Week, which wrapped up on the 11th.

Sadly, London Men’s Fashion Week ended on the day when the world found out that legendary musician David Bowie passed away. To pay tribute to Bowie, many designers made last minute changes and incorporated elements of David Bowie into their shows. Notably, Burberry Men’s AW16 show on January 11th featured a couple of his songs and even added eye glitter to a number of the model’s faces. A Burberry model also created her own personal tribute to Bowie by revealing the word “Bowie,” written on the palms of her hands, when she reached the end of the runway.
