Comfy Caftans

The caftan is, BY FAR, my favorite piece that has ever been created! I absolutelyhave a weakness for them, especially now that it’s summer time. A caftan canhave many uses – it can be used as a swimsuit cover up, worn, alone, on the beachor on a yacht, or you can dress it up (depending on the fabric). Caftans are soflowy and airy that they are perfect for covering up your bloated tummy afteryou’ve just had a full-course meal. That good ole caftan comes to the rescue! Ifyou are tired of wearing those boring cover-ups to the beach, throw on a beautifulcaftan, which can go straight from the beach to lunch, or to do some shopping.

Caftans can come with beautiful beading detail, sheer animal prints, short, long,one shoulder or anything you can imagine. Also, they are super easy to makeyourself. So visit JoAnn’s or whatever your favorite fabrics store to pick up apattern, or make your own. The summer is one of my favorite seasons – onlybecause I can pull out my caftans. I’ve even thought about creating my ownline – that’s how much I ADORE them. My favorite caftan designer is MatthewWilliamson. His use of color and detail is AMAZING! Even celebrity stylistRachel Zoe has some caftans in her QVC line.
