Bow To The Brow - Luxe Colore

Big bold brows are in you all and I’m here to help you achieve them in only 4 simple steps using just 4 products! Even though I love makeup, I love not wearing it on the day to day basis but the brows are almost always done. It completes any look, makeup or no makeup. Let’s jump right in, shall we?

The very first step in achieving the perfect brows is carving out your natural brow shape. My go-to product for this is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Pencil in the color “Ebony”. This pencil gives me life, you all! It’s so small at the end, which gives you the ability to draw very fine lines. I like to start at the very bottom and draw a line following my natural brow. Take the spoolie that comes with the Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil and brush upwards, this will disperse the product upward getting rid of any harsh lines.

The second step is filling in any sparse areas. The most natural way of doing this is by taking any brow product (such as a gel liner or eye-shadow) and filling in the second half of your brow first. I like taking a matte brown eye-shadow, one shade lighter than my hair color and filling it in with a small angled brush. We want to go for natural, bold brows so the darkest part should be the second half.  Slowly disperse whatever is left on your brush to the front. Be sure that the front of the brows isn’t as dark as the second half.

The third step is to “set” the brows. Setting brows keeps the hairs in place and can also make your brows appear fuller with it’s gel-like effect. Benefit Cosmetics has a brow gel called “Speed Brow” which is suitable for all brow shades. They even make brow gels that have tiny hair fibers to give the illusion that you have thicker looking brows, which is so fabulous, and a quick way to look more polished!

Lastly, carving and highlighting your brow is optional but I enjoy doing this when I want to have a clean-cut, crisp brow, you know, that special occasion brow. 😉 Taking any concealer and a small brush, I apply concealer around the entire brow. This will make your brows pop and hide any mistakes while drawing your brows on. I also enjoy doing this at times when I simply don’t have the time to pluck or wax my brows!

I hope you all enjoyed and learned something from this quick post on how to achieving the perfect brow! Stay in touch on Instagram at @Megan_Panwar for more updates about beauty, makeup and skincare!
